Celebration of Life for Rose White
White – Rose Marie (Verge)
It is with great sadness that the family of Rose Marie Verge, 74, of Maple Ridge, BC announces her passing peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, August 4th, 2024.
Born in Liverpool, NS, she was the second eldest daughter of Frederick “Fred” and Catherine “Kay” (Plumber) Verge.
Rose was a kind, generous, loving, strong person who would do anything for family and friends. She loved telling lots of jokes and playing cards with family and friends. She loved her dogs and her cockatiel “Pooper” who was always giving her kisses and sitting on her head.
She especially loved her Sunday suppers and spending time with her common-law husband John of 25 years and her step children in B.C. She was a registered Legion member and worked at the Army Navy Club in BC before her retirement due to illness.
Rose Marie is survived by her sisters Sharon White of Milton, NS; Sheila Montgomery of Liverpool, NS; Donna Verge (Bazil) of Newcombville, NS; as well as nieces, nephew and great nieces, all of NS. Her common law husband John Tenbrink; step children Sara (Drew), Bobby (Amanda), Jim (Alex), Richard (Cassie), David and step grandchildren, all of BC.
Besides her parents, Rose Marie was predeceased by her husband Allan White; son Richard Sacra and sister Debra (Verge) Harris.
Cremation has taken place in BC with final arrangements entrusted to Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Zion Cemetery, Payzant St., Liverpool. No flowers by request, donations may be made to SHAID Animal Shelter or to a charity of your choice.
Rose’s Celebration of Life will be Held at the Army, Navy & Air-Force Veterans in Canada, Unit #379, Maple Ridge B.C. on September 8th, 2024. R.I.P. Rose!
